Can HIIT Workouts Improve Arterial Stiffness?
A randomized study evaluated the effects of a 4 week intervention of HIIT (3 bouts of 9-min intervals at 90% of HRmax, interspersed by 1 min rest, for 5 days a week) in normal weight obese females (having normal BMI but excessive Body Fat > 30%).
HIIT can Decrease Arterial Stiffness, Improve Cardiometabolic Parameters and May Therefore Help Ameliorate the Risk of Arteriosclerosis in Normal Obese Females.
